Have you ever wondered what the KPIs for wisdom really are? Have you ever asked yourself questions like: how does a wise woman speak? How does she walk? Who does she associate herself with? How does she respond to her spouse? Her children? Her boss? Her employees? And most importantly, where does she live?

Perhaps, you might have caught yourself questioning your eligibility to be referred to as ‘She’s a wise chic.’ Or, you may have found yourself before questions or actions that made you wonder how wise you genuinely are?

Yeah?

Well, this is me telling you that you are an embodiment of wisdom – just the way you are!

How Do I Know?

I know you’re probably not running the show already. And people may not have begun trooping into your home to hear out your infallible words of wisdom like Solomon, but here’s the deal:

A wise woman is prudent in her mind, with her words, and in her actions. She knows too much of her identity to ever become complacent about who she is. And her knowledge shows right through all she does.

A wise woman has all the love, authority, and virtues she needs to set her nation on her feet. She knows how to cater for herself, her family, her loved ones, and those who look up to her – spirit, soul, and body – without losing herself.

And you know what?

That wise woman is you, and you are her.

You Have Excellent Judgement

I am Lady Wisdom, and I live next to Sanity; Knowledge and Discretion live just down the street. Proverbs 8:12 MSG

In being a wise woman, you have a sound mind, and your perception is not clouded by the wrong knowledge of others. Your response to everything emanates from the wealth of good you have seated deep within you – not from the things around you.

You Fear the Lord

The Fear-of-God means hating Evil, whose ways I hate with a passion – pride and arrogance and crooked talks. Proverbs 8:13 MSG

A wise woman puts God first. Yes, even over her ambitions. She knows that beyond what her ‘skills and abilities’ can fetch her, she has an inexhaustible source of insight and strength from God. And oh, her reverence of Him keeps her from condoning evil.

You are Full of Insight

Good counsel and common sense are my characteristics; I am both Insight and the Virtue to live it out. With my help, governors govern, along with all in legitimate authority. Proverbs 8:14-16 MSG

A wise woman is full of insight. In her lies the solution to the problems confronting her world. She has the capacity to elegantly resolve conflicts in her home, her church, and her neighborhood. And she knows where to invest her energy, money, and time to yield manifold results.

A wise chic fearlessly influences her world with her insight. Kings, governors, princes, and leaders adopt her principles in exercising authority. And those who look up to her are unashamed because they do have a perfect model before them.

You Know Your Worth

I love those who love me; those who look for me will find me. Wealth and Glory accompany me – also substantial Honor and a Good Name. My benefits are worth more than a big salary, even a very big salary; the returns on me exceeds any imaginable bonus. Proverbs 8:17-19 MSG

A wise woman does not compromise her standards at work or in business to get the check. She knows her worth and the ransom that has been paid over her, so she does not stoop below who she is for anything because she doesn’t have a price – she’s priceless.

In her relationship with others, she knows where those boundaries begin and where they end. And she’s careful not to have vices subtly trespass into her core values.

You are Righteous

You can find me on Righteous Road – that’s where I walk – at the intersection of Justice Avenue. Proverbs 8:20 MSG

A wise woman is who she is because she is in right standing with her Maker. Not just any kind of righteousness, but the very one bestowed upon her by the One who gives her breath. Obviously, she is just and does not do her conscience bad by wronging others unduly.

You are a Life-Giver

Handing out life to those who love me, filling their arms with life – armloads of life! Proverbs 8:21 MSG

Maybe not her entire nation, but a wise woman’s children are always excited, anticipating the counsels that proceed from her. Her spouse is a beneficiary of her endowment. And those who watch her from their corners have life breathed into them from her doings.

So you see?

You’re a wise woman.

And you know the best part?

You are astonishingly audacious.

This is why I am blown away by your wisdom. It is why people will whisper to themselves, ‘She’s a wise chic’ whenever they get the slightest glimmer of your presence.

So, the next time you are before an employer who is demanding from you complicated answers over a task, remember how full of wisdom you are. The next time you are confronted with an unpleasant dilemma, know that you have within you unending answers to whatever problems the world can ever fabricate – even in 10 lifetimes. And the next time your response is required over any matter, remember what people will always say about you ‘she’s a wise chic.’
